Accessibility
Accessibility Statement
GOGOJSM wants people with disabilities to be able to browse products, understand personalization choices, contact our team, review charges, and continue to secure Shopify checkout.
Last reviewed · 16 August 2026
We are working toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This statement describes verified measures and known limitations; it is not a declaration that every page is fully conformant.
Scope
GOGOJSM-controlled surfaces
This statement covers the GOGOJSM React/Hydrogen storefront at gogojsm.com, including the home page, collections, product pages, personalization forms, cart review, About, Contact, support pages, and journal content.
Third-party surfaces
Shopify-hosted checkout, customer accounts, payment interfaces, carrier tracking, WhatsApp, and other linked third-party services are partly controlled by their providers. We monitor the handoff but cannot directly change every element in those services.
Measures currently used
The storefront includes or is being maintained with the following measures:
- A keyboard-accessible skip link that moves past the site navigation to the main page content.
- One primary page heading and structured section headings on the maintained About, Contact, legal, collection, product, cart, and support templates.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators for links, buttons, form controls, product options, thumbnails, and expandable controls.
- Text labels and instructions for customer-support and personalization forms.
- Status messages that are announced when a form is sending, succeeds, or cannot be sent.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful product and team images, with decorative images hidden from assistive technology where appropriate.
- Product choices that do not depend on color alone; color names and text labels accompany visual swatches.
- Responsive layouts intended to reflow on smaller screens without requiring horizontal page scrolling.
- Minimum interactive target sizes on primary navigation, purchase, contact, and support controls.
- Reduced-motion support that removes non-essential animation when the browser requests reduced motion.
- Plain-language price, tax, add-on, and shipping information before the customer continues to checkout.
How we assessed the storefront
On 16 August 2026, we reviewed representative desktop and mobile pages in the current React/Hydrogen storefront. The review included page structure, headings, image text alternatives, form labels, status messages, keyboard-oriented focus behavior, responsive reflow, purchase-path wording, and source-code checks for focus and reduced-motion support.
Automated checks and visual review can identify many issues, but they do not prove full accessibility. Periodic testing with assistive technologies and people with disabilities remains part of the improvement plan.
Known limitations
We currently know about these limitations:
Older journal content
Some older imported journal articles contain legacy images with missing or weak alternative text, older heading structures, or formatting that has not yet been fully remediated.
Template landmark nesting
Some migrated templates still need their header and main-content landmark nesting normalized even though the shared navigation exposes an explicit banner role and skip target.
Shopify-hosted checkout
Shopify-hosted checkout, account, and payment pages are third-party surfaces. Their accessibility can change independently of the GOGOJSM storefront.
Dynamic personalization
Dynamic personalization forms and visual product previews may require additional assistive-technology testing as templates and options change.
Product photography
Product photography communicates natural wood and resin variation visually. We provide descriptive text, but every visual difference cannot be represented in alternative text.
Linked services
Linked carrier, social, messaging, or embedded services may not provide the same accessibility features as gogojsm.com.
Need assistance or found a barrier?
If you cannot access information, use a form, select a product option, submit personalization, or complete part of the purchase path, please tell us what happened. Include the page URL, the task you were trying to complete, and the browser or assistive technology used if you are comfortable sharing it.
We can provide product details, personalization guidance, and order support through an alternative communication method where reasonably possible. Do not send payment-card details by email, WhatsApp, or a contact form.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is reviewed when shared components, navigation, forms, product options, cart totals, or checkout handoffs change. We also review reported barriers and older content in priority order. This statement will be updated when the verified state of the storefront materially changes.
